The harassment of scientists is a multi-faceted and complex problem, with institutional, national and global dimensions. Prof. Laulhé Shaelou discusses the case of the negative impact the false promotion of hydroxychloroquine had, on the scientist who first challenged with evidence the original study published on the matter.

The Report was launched in June 2025 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, as part of the PREPARED Project. The project’s objective was to to develop an operational ethics and integrity framework, which safeguards key ethical values, supports a rapid and effective research response to crises and improves overall pandemic preparedness. 

From 2022 to 2025, ICLAIM was one of 16 global partners, leading Work Package 4 on the development of Guidelines, Supplements and Policy Tools
